What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are a bio cellular substance derived from the DNA of salmon sperm and stimulate fibroblast cells, which promotes collagen and elastin production. These proteins have the ability to regenerate and repair tissue and give skin an youthful appearance.    PN booster injections help improve fine wrinkles, skin elasticity and volume.   It works especially well in the tear troughs under the eye area.  I like Iluma Luna dark spot control for the tear trough area and have seen some amazing results from my clients as it has a high concentration of  polynucleotides.  Polynucleotides does not cause water retention like hyaluronic acid and is ideal for the under eye area.

Once injected into the skin the DNA fragments stimulate the fibroblast cells, promoting deep tissue repair and collogen production.   As your skin start the renewal process you will see an improvement on elasticity and firmness, wrinkles start to soften up.  We use the BAP technique to inject PN Boosters into the face.  Around the eyes, neck and decolletage, we inject superficially with a very fine needle.

Polynucleotides are also used for hair loss by stimulating collagen production and cellular turnover.

Will it work for me?

This treatment is for anyone who wants to improve skin health and appearance.  Polynucleotide injections are a non-invasive anti- aging procedure and ideal for people with:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Dark circles under the eyes
  • Dry and dull skin
  • Loss of volume and elasticity

How long before I see results?

Immediately after your treatment you can expect some swelling and bruising and it will clear up within 3 -5 days.  You typically will notice a gradual improvement after 2 -3 weeks.   The action of polynucleotides is at cellular level and takes time to take effect.  We recommend 2-3 treatments for optimal results.    Polynucleotides offer long term rejuvenation that will last you up to 6 months.  Treatment may vary per individual.

We recommend a face-to-face consultation to assess which PN booster will suit you best.

How are polynucleotides different from hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid attracts and holds onto water and promotes hydration and volume in the skin, giving a more plumping and glowing end result.

Polynucleotides works at a cellular level promoting skin regeneration.

A combination of both is an effective treatment that stimulates your skin, leading to natural, refreshed appearance.
