Laser Tattoo Removal

We use a high frequency Pico laser that is suitable for removal of unwanted semi permanent makeup and body tattoos.  Our laser technology offer a safe and affective way to get rid of regrettable ink.

Laser tattoo removal works by breaking down the ink into smaller fragments that absorbs into the bloodstream and then eliminated by the body via the lymph drainage system.  The tattoo lightens up after each session.  The treatment is quick and during the treatment you can feel a sensation very similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin.

Our laser beams can target all colour ink, with the exception of the colour green, which is harder to remove.  The technician will assess your tattoo and skin  before determining the energy level and sessions needed for your removal treatment.

Pico lasers use no heat, but short wave lengths to break down pigment, which makes it unlikely for scarring and safer compare to older laser technology.  (If there is scaring from the initial tattoo treatment,  it is likely to remain.)  Temporary side effects like blisters and scabbing is common and will clear as the area heals.

Who is a good candidate for laser tattoo removal treatment?

  • Saturated microblading
  • Correction / removal  of eyebrow tattoos
  • Semi permanent lips – will need a consultation and patch test to see if you are a good candidate.  Some lip inks can’t be removed with a laser. (see salt saline removal)
  • Regret body tattoos
  • Unwanted scalp micropigmentation

We recommend a course of 2 -3 sessions for eyebrow removal and 4 -8 treatments for body tattoos.   This can sometimes take a little bit longer deepening on the ink, age and depth of the tattoo.

Salt Saline Removal London Treatment

Salt saline removal is done with a cosmetic tattoo machine.   It is recommend for small areas of semipermanent makeup that needs correction.  Salt saline removal is safe to use on unwanted semi permanent lip makeup, some lip colours can not be targeted with laser removal.

We use a fine needle to deposit salt saline in the upper layer of the skin where the old tattoo is present. The salt saline remover slowly breaks down the old pigment and disposes of it through the scabbing after the treatment and lymph drainage system of the body.

Multiple sessions will be needed to completely remove your old microblading/permanent makeup depending on the density of the old pigment remaining in the skin.  After each session you can expect the treated area to be slightly lighter when healed.

Consultation, Treatment & Aftercare for tattoo removal:

Before Annette starts doing any cosmetic treatment she has an in depth consultation with her client. She offers expert pigment removal treatments, so you can rest assured that you are in safe hands. You will have the option for a patch test if you have any concerns of an allergic reaction.

You can expect  the treated  area to be slightly stingy  during the treatment.   The area will appear slightly white with frosting, red and swollen  after the removal procedure.  This will disappear after a few days.

During this time (1st week) it is recommended to avoid touching the area, use of cosmetic creams, sunbathing or wet the area.  We recommend dry healing for this treatment, but you can apply an ointment like bepanthen to help with the dryness and itchiness.    It is important to follow the aftercare  to avoid scarring.  It takes up to 7 -10 days for the scabs to heal and and  4 – 6 weeks for the area to lighten and completely heal.   We will book in your next removal appointment 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment.
