Scalp pigmentation is a non surgical procedure for men and women suffering from hair loss.
Our scalp pigmentation London service delivers immediate results and is the most modern and advanced permanent makeup technique today. By replicating hair follicles on the scalp you can restore your hair line, bald areas, camouflage a scar, or simulate a full head of shaven hair. This hair tattoo also creates more volume to thinning hair. 2 – 3 sessions are recommended for best results and treatment time will depend on the size of the area to be treated.
This technique is done with a cosmetic tattoo machine that implants fine dots in the upper layer of the skin. The hair simulation result is a natural and realistic appearance to boost your self confidence.
Microblading treatment for the hairline
We also offer a microblading treatment as well as our scalp pigmentation London service for the hairline. This technique is done with a manual hand tool by adding hair strokes in between thinning hair on the hair line, and is suitable for longer hair.
Consultation and treatment
Before Annette starts any cosmetic tattoo treatment, you will have an in depth consultation to make sure we meet your expectations. We offer a number of scalp techniques and we will discuss what treatment will work best for you. She will guide you through the semi permanent makeup treatment process and answer any questions you may have. You will have the option for a patch test if you have any concerns of an allergic reaction. If not, the procedure can be done on the same day. We will select the colour pigment to match your hair and skin colour. We use high quality scalp pigments that are hypo allergenic and sterilized needles for single use only.
Aftercare for your scalp pigmentation London treatment
You can expect the area to be slightly red immediately after the procedure and this will disappear after a few hours. The scalp tattoo will appear slightly darker immediately after the treatment and will lose up to 30% of the intensity of the colour after 1 week once the scabs/dry skin have cleared up. During this time (1st week) it is recommended to avoid touching the area, use cosmetic creams on the scalp area, sunbathing or wet the scalp area. Do not pick the scabs as this will result in pigment loss. It takes up to 4 – 6 weeks for the colour to settle and completely heal. We will book in your next appointment 4 – 6 weeks after your initial treatment.
A scalp tattoo typically lasts 2 – 3 years (in some cases even longer). Oily skin, skin texture, exposure to sun (use SPF while sunbathing), exfoliation products and skin lightening products can affect the longevity of your scalp tattoo. Avoid applying these creams on the cosmetic tattoo. We recommend a colour boost every couple of years to keep your cosmetic tattoo at its best.
